VERAMENTO jewelry care guide

The complete guide to jewelry care: how to keep your steel looking perfect

VERAMENTO

316L surgical steel is the most durable material you can wear every day. But even the toughest alloy benefits from a little care. Here’s everything you need to know.

Daily wear

VERAMENTO pieces are designed to be worn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shower, gym, sea — all fine. The only thing to watch: prolonged exposure to chlorine in swimming pools can dull the surface over time. A quick rinse with fresh water after swimming keeps your pieces looking new.

Cleaning

For everyday maintenance, simply wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing. For a deeper clean, use warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry. Never use abrasive cleaners or rough materials — they can scratch the surface.

Storage

Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or the original VERAMENTO box. This prevents scratching and tangling. Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

What to avoid

  • Bleach and chlorine-based products
  • Abrasive scrubs or steel wool
  • Perfume sprayed directly onto the piece
  • Ultrasonic cleaners (for pieces with stones)

PVD coating

Our Gold PVD and Black PVD pieces require the same care as silver steel. PVD is applied at the molecular level — it’s not plating that peels. Still, avoid heavy mechanical friction to maintain the finish at its best.

Follow these simple steps and your VERAMENTO piece will look exactly as it did on day one — for years to come.
